Fredericka (Ricka) L. White-Soso, MSW, an
Ricka’s extensive work with diverse populations makes her sensitive to the needs of her clients and her community. Being a professionally trained Social Worker, she has the skills of an administrator, community organizer, and planner. She believes in and uses grassroots networking techniques in her everyday practice of resource seeking.
Having experience in a busy city Emergency Room/Trauma Center, as a Medical (Clinical) Social Worker, she has seen the daily trials of the indigent, low income and working class patient. Ricka commits herself to connecting her patients and/or clients to the appropriate community resources to assist them with understanding their medical condition, treatment plan and options while focusing on improving their quality of life.
Staying true to the premise that one cannot change their
community unless they get involved in it, Mrs. White-Soso continues to seek
opportunities to serve her community – locally, regionally, and nationally. She
has served as a Public Ethics Commissioner for the City of
She has served on various community organizations boards. Ricka is a Critical Mass Health Conductor through the Bay Area United Fund promoting overall health of her community. Lastly, she is also a proud Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. an internationally recognized organization that provides public service to the community. In her local chapter, she has served as the Summit VI & Healthy Lifestyle Change Initiatives Committee Chair.
